About us

Our Mission

Improving the lives of animals in The Bahamas through rescue, shelter, care, education, and advocacy.

Our Mission

What we do

Friends of The Bahamas Humane Society (FBHS) is dedicated to fulfilling its mission by acting as a vital lifeline for animal welfare initiatives across The Bahamas. While our primary focus is providing essential funding and support to the Bahamas Humane Society – the country’s largest shelter and safety net for animals in Nassau – our commitment extends further.

We also identify and provide grant funding to other deserving animal welfare causes, rescue groups, and charities throughout The Bahamas, ensuring that help reaches where it is needed most.
